Nutella Pastries

IMG_1612.JPG

Quick easy recipe that reminds me of all the cute bakeries and coffee shops we can’t go to while in quarantine. So you can bring the pastries to you with this super simple recipe!

Ingredients:

-puff pastry dough (I used the Zergut brand) it’s already pre-cut to the right size

-Nutella or any other thick filling (cookie butter, peanut butter etc)

-One egg

Directions:

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees

-Get a puff pastry square and fold it diagonal so you get a triangle

-now you can see where the fold will be so place your choice of filling on the bottom triangle half

-fold the dough after you place your filling in, grab a fork and use it to close the edges together

-place it on your baking tray with parchment paper

-mix an egg in a separate bowl and use a brush to brush it on each pastry top

-place in the oven until the top is golden brown (~17 minutes)

-let it cool and decorate! (I decorated with nutella and edible rose petals)

ENJOY! Best when served when it’s warm and right out of the oven!

NOTE: make sure puff pastry is at room temperature. DO NOT attempt to use it when its frozen, it will break and you will lose the shape
